Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Aurea Technology (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with Aurea Shield, a lifestyle application for organizing personal and family information. Aurea Shield allows users to voluntarily provide and manage personal and family health-related information. Users decide what information they choose to enter into the application. Users may choose to share information through features provided by the application.
We do not sell users’ personal health information.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may process:
- Account information (email, name; Google account details if you sign in with Google)
- Health-related information you enter or upload (see section 3)
- Device push token if you allow notifications
- Device type/model, OS version, and app version (for security and support)
- In-app activity such as search history for features you use (for example directory or AI questions)
- Abuse or rules-violation reports you submit
- Crash logs, diagnostics, and basic performance metrics (scrubbed where practical to avoid embedding clinical values)
- Purchase/subscription records when Google Play Billing / RevenueCat is used
- On the free tier only: advertising identifiers used by Google AdMob for non-personalized ads (paid Premium subscribers do not see ads)
3. Health-Related Information
Aurea Shield is designed for personal health information management. Health-related information can include, when you choose to provide it:
- Medical or laboratory records you upload
- Prescriptions
- Medication information and schedules
- Symptoms and notes
- Vaccination information
- Weight / BMI and similar self-tracked values
- Personal health history and family member profiles
- Images or documents that contain health information
- Pregnancy-related notes you enter
- Messages you exchange with linked contacts in the app
This information is voluntarily provided by you. You remain responsible for its accuracy and for deciding what to store and share.
4. How We Use Information
- To operate Aurea Shield and provide the features you request
- To authenticate accounts and secure the service
- To sync or back up information when you use those optional features
- To process optional OCR/AI requests you initiate
- To show non-personalized ads on free tiers where applicable
- To process subscriptions via Google Play / RevenueCat
- To respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests
- To improve reliability and investigate abuse or security issues
5. User Control
You control what you enter. You can edit or delete many local records in the app. You choose whether to use cloud sync, Drive backup, messaging, OCR/AI, and sharing features. You can request account deletion (section 12).
6. Information Sharing
We do not sell personal health information. Information may be shared when:
- You export or share content yourself (for example PDFs or system share sheet)
- You message or link with another user (they see conversation content you send)
- You use processors listed in section 7
- Required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
- You submit an abuse report (may be emailed to support for review)
7. Third-Party Service Providers
We use service providers to operate the product, including:
- Supabase (authentication and cloud database)
- Google (Play Billing, optional Drive backup, optional Google sign-in, AdMob on free tier)
- RevenueCat (subscription entitlement)
- OCR / AI vendors for features you invoke, reached through our signed backend functions
- Resend (transactional / support email)
- Push delivery infrastructure (for example Expo / FCM) when notifications are enabled
These providers process data only as needed to provide their services under their own terms and privacy policies.
8. AI / Intelligent Features
Certain optional features may use automated or artificial intelligence technologies to process information submitted by the user in order to provide requested informational functionality.
AI-generated information is provided for informational and organizational purposes and should not be treated as medical diagnosis or professional medical advice.
9. Document and Image Processing
If you use camera, gallery, or PDF upload features (for example to extract text from a lab report or prescription), the image or file you select is sent through our servers to processing providers for that request. We do not use those uploads to sell advertising against your health content.
10. Data Storage and Security
- On-device records are stored in the app’s private database on your phone
- Signed-in cloud data is stored with our backend providers over HTTPS
- Optional Google Drive backups are encrypted on-device (AES-GCM) before upload; we cannot recover a forgotten backup password
- Auth sessions prefer platform secure storage (Keystore / Keychain) where available
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
11. Data Retention
Local data remains until you delete it, sign out on that phone (local health data is cleared), or uninstall the app. Cloud account data is retained while your account exists, then removed or anonymized after a verified deletion request is completed, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or accounting reasons (for example subscription history).
12. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your Aurea Shield account and associated personal information:
- In the app (where available), or
- Via our web form: Request Account Deletion, or
- By emailing aureashield@dashboard.me.uk
Web form requests verify your email and password, then create a pending request for admin review. Approved deletion requests are normally completed within 30 days.
13. Children’s Privacy
Aurea Shield is intended for adults. Do not create accounts for children under 13 without a parent or guardian. Family profiles for dependents should be managed by a responsible adult.
14. International Data Processing
Our service providers may process data in data centers outside your country. By using Aurea Shield you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in those locations with appropriate safeguards used by those providers.
15. User Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of Aurea Shield after changes means you accept the updated policy.
